How a long hair transplant is performed

- Detailed hair and follicle analysis. Because grafts are harvested with the long hair shafts attached, our specialist team examines the structure and quality of your donor follicles in detail first.
- Harvesting with specialised instruments. Follicles are collected one by one from the donor area using specially designed punch tips that preserve the length of the hair shaft.

Recovery and how the result develops
Afterwards, the long hair naturally covers the scabbing and mild redness, so nobody around you notices the healing period. Within the first month, the transplanted hair shafts go through "shock loss", exactly as they do with every other technique. The follicles remain healthy beneath the skin and start growing permanently from the 3rd month. By the end of the 1st year you have hair at its own natural length and density. How quickly this develops varies between patients.
